Hi, I have installed, uninstalled iSeries ODBC driver (5770-XE1 IBM i Access for Windows) several times without issue, accepting all defaults. Most recently I took the option to select which features to install, the installation worked but now I cannot upgrade, modify or uninstall.
Message Could not read SourceInstallMRI from key SOFTWARE\IBM\Client Access\CurrentVersion The Install cannot continue
I have tried to modify the registry keys to match a working install with no luck. Does anyone know how I can get this uninstalled?

We have a user that cannot access their pathways. our as400 support stated this is a keyboard mapping issue. Except no one remembers how to do it. So I am putting the question to the group. How to I map a keyboard in as400 iseries?
IBM System x3400 M3, 7379E2U. Looks like the SATA backplane has dropped slots 2 and 3.
It appears to be the Simple-Swap Backplate, 46D1398, according to the label inside the cover.
The closest thing I've found is this item on eBay, which is a 44E8783, http://www.ebay.com/itm/IBM-Hard-drive-HDD-backplane-x3200-x3400-X3500-SAS-SATA-44E8783-44E8780-Hot-...
It says it's a hot-swap card, and I don't think the original is hot-swap. I don't care if it is or not, I just want to be able to rebuild both RAID 1s that I lost with the two slots.
So, must it be an exact replacement, or can I "fudge" a little? Or does someone have a good resource for obscure server components?

without having any issues after upgrade.what things to be taken care of before planning the upgrade.
I need to move data from a DS3524-1 to V3700. I plan to do this via iSCSI however I have been unable to find any info on this and how it is done.
If someone could explain to me like a child or point in the right direction where to go to figure this out, I would greatly appreciate it.

Recently we changed bad hard disk in ibm 3650 m3 which has 8 HDD and raid 10 is configured.after changing new hard disk it is not automatically rebuild. while checking using server raid manager 13,it was found the status of newly changed hdd was unconfigured bad. I changed it to unconfigurd good.Now i'm bit confused what to do next since the server is mission critical and i don't want to take any risk. I have attached the image of server raid manager where i got stuck.
i have just got 2x IBM System X3550 7978-cto servers and have never worked with IBM servers before. So i need some help to start everything from the beginning, can anyone who has already worked on IBM servers what do i need to do in few steps to setup the server. The server has 2 HDD-s inserted but when i went to bios it detects 2 drivers one has 500GB and the other 4GB only? How comes i cant delete them? I would like to create a raid 1 for 2 of these drivers and install windows server 2012 r2 how can i do that please?Can anyone PLEASE help me?

i have some issues because its my first time im using this server and am a relative beginner.
It seems like when it boots this server that has 2 disks is configured with raid 1. My question is is this fine?
The other issue is that i inserted a cd and wanted to install WIndows server 2012 R2 but when doing the "completing installation files" i get an error see below the screenshot i took whats asking me:

I've been running windows server 2003 as a domain control/ active directory users and group policies were setup on that server.
I want to move to windows server 2012 now and have already an installed server ready to set it up as the domain controller.
I have now issues and couldn't figure out how and is it possible to move all users,groups and policies from the old server configuration to that server? Is that possible?

I have a request from my customer to modify IBM V3700 storage Management IP address.
It seems like a straightforward job, however the catch is he has lost the initialization tool, he doesnt know the management IP address and he couldn't find any documentation on the storage configurations.

I am attempting to setup a new IBM Storwize V3700 V2 XP SAN and would like some guidance on how to initialize it from beginning to end. I am quite lost on the bit when I need to connect the network cable onto the technician port as stated on the Storwize V3700: Quick Installation Guide.
I have storage DS3512 where 12 disks are in enclosure 1 and 7 disks are in enclosure 2. One array of total 19 disks (12+7) has been created with RAID 5. Now I want to add more disks in enclosure 2 ( maximum 5 can be added in empty slots). My question is that whether i can create second array of new disks in this storage? How many array can be created in this storage DS 3512?
I am trying to get the machine signature on the IBM v3700 SAN. I have logged into the device via ssh with putty. When i type the command "lsenclosure" I get the following error " LenovoStorage:Cluster1:superuser>lsenclosure rbash: lsenclosure: command not found"

I have a question. I've just received as a donation two servers
IBM X3550 7978 .
I took one and went through the IBM site by downloading the IBM server guide which is the official software for installing Operating Systems on these IBM servers and it says that this model doesn't support higher OS than Win server 2008 .
But the second one has a windows server 2012 R2 installed so how comes how did they install it? Through any virtual-machine? How can i find out if the OS was installed through a virtual machine like vmware because when booting it i don't see any info's of a vmware.
Anyone who could help me out?

I have a client that would like for me to add 2 printers to an as400. I logged into the as400 using iSeries Navigator Ver5 Rel4. I expanded my Connections/172.16.01/Basic Operations... I then right clicked on Printers. I get a 'Start printer' , but not an 'Add printer'..
I see several printers that have been added already.
Is this a permissions thing for my login? Or do i need to install additional Components? Any suggestions or alternate ways to add a printer?
