I have a customer with an iseries (i think OS ver 7). It backs up using evault to a private resellers cloud. We occasionally also do tape backups.
We have some cloud replicated storage shared as NFS...as i understand it, an iseries could be setup with scripts to do a complete save of all data (system, user, programs, databeses, etc) nightly with the NFS share as a target? Customer wants to move away from the evault and i'd like to assist but my iseries experience is only running the tape backup to tap0 and initializing tapes.
Is this possible, and if so can you PM me quotes and info if you are interested in handling this for my customer?
